Thank you for booking!

What happens next?

You have taken another positive step to securing your loved ones' future, if the worst were to happen.

At this appointment we will draft your legal document - a Will, Lasting Power of Attorney and/or a Declaration of Trust, depending on your circumstances and your wishes.

Wills

To get this finalised quickly, we will need to know:

1. What assets do you own? e.g. property, vehicles, businesses, jewellery, cash, bank savings, pensions and other significant assets. What’s a rough idea of your estate’s total value?

2. Guardians - if you have children under 18, who would you want to care for them?

3. Who do you trust to handle your estate? (usually two people - they’ll be your Executors and/or Trustees. We will need their full names including middle names.)

4. Funeral arrangements - your wishes.

4. Business interests - if any.

5. Gifts of money or specific gifts such as jewellery.

6. Do you own a property? And if so, is it in your name only, owned as joint tenants (automatically passes to the other owner), or as tenants in common (separate shares)? Not sure - find out more here.

7. Are there charities you may wish to support? There can be tax advantages to doing so.

8. Who would you like to receive the remainder of your assets if something happened to you?

9. Are there any exciting life changes coming up - like a new baby, a wedding, or a move?

Lasting Power of Attorney

We will need to know:

1. Whether you’d like the LPA to cover financial and property, health and care decisions, or both.

2. Who would you trust to make decisions for you (your attorney or attorneys).

3. Whether you want one person or more than one, and if they’d make decisions together or separately.

4.
Anyone you’d like as a backup if your first choice can’t act.

5. Any particular wishes or instructions you’d want written in.

6. For anyone named, we need their title (e.g. Mr, Miss), full name including middle name, address and postcode, and their date of birth.

Next steps

Our aim is to get these documents professionally written, as much as possible, on the call so that we can get them to you quickly.

Don’t worry if it feels overwhelming - I’ll talk you through it all and you'll have an opportunity to come back to me if we need to finalise any details.

After that you can decide whether to proceed with the full service and choose one of our money-saving packages, or you can choose to take it no further in which case nothing more is owed.

I’m looking forward to our conversation and helping you put everything in place finally. It’s a big step towards peace of mind. We’ll make it simple and straightforward every step of the way.
